We always choose Mantra for our stay interstate , this time in Tasmania the sleeping bed in my room of Mantra number 220 was very bad affected my back and I did not enjoy my trip because of no good sleep . would be an excellent idea to take care of bed and mattress type before rebooking fir customers.

Excellent location, convenient to everything. Comfortable rooms and a surprise personalised gift of a bottle of Tasmanian wine. Parking on site, staff always available and so helpful. Breakfast is always very nice and a great start to the day.

Not comfortable. Felt like staying overnight in a hospital

We stayed in the king room. Immediately as we walked into our room it felt odd. Walked into the bathroom and straight away noticed how huge it was but ultimately felt like a hospital bathroom renovated. The old hospital style toilet was still there with the large round silver flush buttons on the wall and support hand rails along the side of the wall that you see at a hospital and the toilet seat where the lid flops all the way to the back. Literally a hospital toilet!. We went out for dinner and walked about 10mins to the closest restaurant as their restaurant/ bar was not open on a Saturday night. Came back and decided to have a shower. It looked clean enough with the shower glass looking clear, however as I was having a shower noticed the corners of where the shower doors were, was very dirty. It wasn't a tiny amount it was alot! There was mould and a lots of brown grime. It was disgusting. Quickly jumped out. It was the quickest shower of my life. It was already late and we were checking out in the morning, so did not bother asking for a change of room. Wanted to check out and leave the next day as soon as possible. Did a google search that night and found through other people's reviews it was once a hospital. Explains the layout of the room. But they should at least remove the old hospital toilet. We both felt like we were staying in a hospital room that had carpet and some new bathroom tiles. We couldnt have breakfast either eventhough our stay included breakfast as their hours for breakfast change on the weekends from 6.30am to 7 30am. Which is when we had to leave to the airport. Did not find out until I received confirmation email of our stay a few days before arriving. Was too late to book elsewhere. This info should be made available at the time of booking online the breakfast hours differ. Also the photos of each room including the bathrooms should be shown so people know what they are potentially booking themselves into. I felt like i was spending the night in a dirty hospital room. I would not stay here again.
