Formerly the site of the Launceston General Hospital, Hotel Charles and other areas of ’The Charles‘ development has been the vision of Launceston entrepreneur Josef Chromy and his JAC Group. The vision has been implemented by leading Tasmanian architects, Artas, incorporating residential apartments and commercial space. The art deco exterior of the building has been enhanced by a sympathetic design approach making it an iconic Tasmanian location.
